It's common to see artists depict the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse as ugly, disturbing, or even demonic. At the very least the fourth horseman will be depicted as the Grim Reaper.
Does this make sense? John never gives any hint they're anything other than angels eager to enact God's righteous judgements on the Earth. It's my contention that no one who loves God's judgements should depict the Four Horsemen as ugly.
