How to make coffee without a coffee maker

Here's a recipe for coffee that doesn't need a coffee maker.

You might think you'd only need this recipe for hard times, but actually I think this is one of the best ways of making good coffee. I own a lot of coffee gadgets and this is still my go-to way of making coffee.

At the very least this shows you don't need to invest a lot of time or money to start drinking real coffee at home. Instant coffee drinkers have no excuse.

Ingredients

• Ground coffee, 2 tbsp
• Water, 1 cup
• Milk or cream (optional)
• Sugar (optional)

Instructions

1. Boil water
2. In a small jug or mug, mix boiling water and ground coffee together
3. Wait 2-4 minutes for coffee to infuse
4. Pour coffee through a strainer into another mug
5. Add milk, cream and sugar to taste
